From Autocad to Pv*sol

I receive many project files with DWG files and drawings of building sites. In order to run simulations in PV*SOL I have to manually draw up every project and place obstacles in PV*SOL.

 

Is there a way to import CAD drawings/ files into PV*SOL similar to the maps function?

Hi Ali,

unfortunately there is still no possibility to import *.dwg files. Supported formats  are *.x; *.obj; *.dae; *.blend; *.3ds; *.ase; *.lwo; *.ply; *.stl; *.ms3d.

You could export your DWG files as images (bmp, png or jpg) and then import them into PV*SOL, just like map images.

Hope this is an acceptable workaround for you.
