Sorry, probably due to my inadequate knowledge of English there has been a misunderstanding. I did not mean electrical storage but water storage in a heat pump system. Here I only saw the possibility of installing the storage in parallel as a hydraulic separator, which leads to efficiency losses. Installed in series, it can also provide the necessary defrosting energy and extend the running times, but as far as I know it has fewer losses.

It seems, that only parallel buffer storages are avaliable and not buffer storages in line. Is there a special reason?
