  1. Hi

I'm trying to model a project with a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The client pays £0 upfront for their system, instead the PPA provider funds the system and charges the building owner a cost per unit of electricity to purchase what they've generated.

For example they generate 100,000kWh/yr, consume 80,000kWh/yr which they are charged £0.15/kWh therefore the system costs them £12,000/year. After a set period of time. e.g. 20years, they own their system and no longer pay these charges.

The building owner stills purchases electricity from the grid at their usual cost.

I can see there's options to add a loan, but a PPA is a different funding mechanism.

  2. Thanks Martin, that would be a useful addition to advise cable combiners are needed if there's more than 2 strings per input.

The manufacturer has since confirmed an issue with their software, it should allow 3 strings as it's within the voltage range but there was an glitch and it wasn't allowing it, but an older version was.

  3. PV Sol has suggested I can input three strings into one tracker for a Solis inverter. However the manufacturer's design software only enables 2 strings. Why has PV Sol recommended an option that isn't possible?

I've attached screenshots of both designs. I'm using Trina TSM-420DE09R.08 panels and the site is in Colchester, UK.

  4. Is there a way of removing the figure 'Development of energy costs' from the presentation. I can't see an option to toggle this on/off in the document template without removing the whole Financial Analysis Overview section which I don't want to do.

I understand I can export to word and then remove it, but wanted a simpler solution to remove in PVSol so I can export to pdf without it.
